An Nasc – Newsletter 30th November 2018

Nóta ón bPríomhoide:
A Chairde,

Fáilte chuig nuachtlitir na seachtaine seo. This week we welcomed an inspector from the Department of Education and Skills, who undertook a ‘follow-up’ inspection to our WSE/MLL inspection (May 2016). I wish thank all our students and staff for their cooperation and engagement.

Among other recent visitors to Coláiste Éanna, we welcomed the author Ms. Sarah Crossan. A segment of next Sunday’s RTE Poetry Programme was recorded in our school library, featuring contributions from a number of our students (cf. article below). This visit was organised in conjunction with our school’s participation in the ‘One School, One Book Project’ an initiative introduced this year and led by Ms. Egan. Well done to all involved!

Congratulations also to U16 Gaelic Football team and their coaches, Ms. Scanlon and Mr. McManus, on their victory over Terenure College.

Performances of our School Musical commenced on Wednesday to roaring success. Coláiste Éanna welcomed students of our local primary schools to morning matinee and the feedback from last night’s audience was ‘singing the praises’ of our cast, musicians and support staff. Tickets for the remaining performances of ‘The Little Shop of Horrors’, tonight and tomorrow will be available at the door. A warm welcome awaits all!

Reminders: Our annual Student Enterprise Market Day takes place in Ballyroan Community Centre next Wednesday, followed by Ballyroan Christmas Fair that evening. The annual Christmas Draw, organised by our Parents’ Association, will take place on December 11th. Your support of these events will be greatly appreciated.

Le gach dea-ghuí
