Health Awareness Week

This week marks our annual Health Awareness Week in Coláiste Éanna. Each day the different year groups have the opportunity to attend talks from various specialists.

On Monday sixth year students had a talk from Ms Rachel Howard, Mater Hospital Dublin, about Sexually Transmitted Infections. Fifth year students learned about bone marrow donation from Mr Mark O’ Dwyer who works for the Irish Blood Transfusion Board. On Wednesday our Transition Year students listened to speakers from Alcoholics Anonymous.

This Thursday and Friday our first and second year students will hear talks about mental health and cyber bullying. The third year students will have their talk later on in the school year.

We hope that students benefit from the opportunity to develop a better understanding of issues around health and well being.
